📝 Instructions

  1. Wash and soak rice for 10 minutes. Drain.
  2. Heat oil in a pot. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Sauté sliced onion until golden. Add chopped tomato and cook until mushy.
  4. Add peas, cashews, turmeric, chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add drained rice and stir for 1 minute. Pour in 2.5 cups of water.
  6. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low for 15 minutes. Fluff and serve.
